Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1EPQCZPY3O7P2 Here's what it takes to print pictures with the SELPHY. The audio is a little low (Sorry!) but you can see how long it takes to print. This is light enough to take along to family gatherings so that you can give your mother prints of her grandchildren to show off immediately.
Prints are under $0.40 each for a package of paper and the ink cartridge. It's more expensive than taking your memory card to your drugstore but you pay for convenience. The quality of the prints is very high. You can get a rechargeable battery ( Battery Pack NB-CP2L for Selphy CP-600/CP-330/CP-300 Photo )but as of today it's $57 which I think is a little pricey compared to the cost of the printer but it would be worth it if you have to print outside a lot.
All in all this is a good product.
The only portrait paper I use
I've had the pleasure of trying several type of media with my Canon i9900. There are some very good papers out there but with the consistent results from my prints using Classic Pearl as well as the positive feedback I've received from my clients I can easily recommend this paper for all your portrait needs. The downloadable profiles are an excellent bonus and handle color very well from my print manager. Setup is quick and painless. I can only recommend that your experiment with as many papers as you can find but please do yourself a favor and include Ilford Classic Pearl in your research. I think you will be pleased with the results.

You must try the new and improved ones
They have a sticker on the packages saying the colors are brighter and they won't crack. I tried those first and they are beautiful. I bought some more but they didn't have the sticker on them. Those must be what everyone here is reviewing. The old ones are indeed waxy with okay colors. I hope they don't peel like everyone says. But those improved ones are wonderful - brilliant colors and nice feel not waxy at all. Trust me there is a difference. I haven't washed the new improved ones yet but they do look like they are durable and will withstand the wash. Wish there was a way to tell if the package we are getting from Amazon is new or old. I think the stock number is the same.
UPDATE: It has been an entire year since I've done some thirty or so transfers using various brands. Those new and improved Avery transfers are the best. One year later through repeated washings the new and improved ones still look bright and beautiful. The others are old and faded. Look carefully on the package. If they are new and improved Avery that's the one you want.

The best paper I have used.
HP Photo paper is by far the best of all the paper I have used and not just in HP printers. My ... Epson Stylus when set to its highest resolution prints just as well as my ... HP photo printer on this paper although not nearly as fast. The paper has far more to do with the quality of the image than the printer and this is the best paper you can get.

All right by me !!!
This multipurpose 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch paper by Xerox truly works well for all kinds of uses! As you might assume I use this paper primarily for my computer's printer paper. It does indeed slip smoothly through my printer so that paper jams are very few and far between. The 84 brightness simply indicates that this is good quality paper for printing handwriting messages and more.
Of course as I just hinted above while this paper fits the bill completely for printer paper you can also use this paper for handwritten messages and even letters. It works well if you give it to your child to cut up and use for arts and crafts projects when they can't play outside. Of course adults can use this paper for their own artistic projects too.
Moreover just as the seller advertises this paper can be used by either an inkjet printer or a laser printer--it even works very well with plain paper fax machines. I love this multipurpose feature. The product description above briefly mentions that this is a "blue-white" product but I can't understand why they would risk confusing people that way. You can rest assured--this paper is completely white. SMILE
This paper is sold by the realm--and that means you'll have to comfortably life a single package of 20 pounds. If you have any concerns about lifting you may want someone else to carry this for you if you purchase two or three realms at a time in a store. I know after my complicated hernia operation earlier this year I dare not lift too much weight.
Overall this multipurpose paper will never disappoint you; you can store it for future use without worrying about it fading. As long as it remains in its original paper packaging it will remain white even if you open the package two years from now. I highly recommend this paper for anyone who wants a reliable good quality paper for office or home use.
Use it in good health!!!

Works for me!
As an academic administrator I use a lot of paper! Cartridges and paper run out all the time. Also despite being an administrator I still try to do some research or get involved with a variety of publication ventures. All these projects chew up lots of paper.
The HP multipurpose paper is priced reasonably and does the job. I use printers and a copier (and every so often I even use the Fax feature of my 4 in 1 machine) so I need paper that is multipurpose. This works well with both my printer and my copier. It sure meets my needs.
So in the end this is a good product and helps me move along from day to day in the world of academics. . . .
