The only portrait paper I use
I've had the pleasure of trying several type of media with my Canon i9900. There are some very good papers out there but with the consistent results from my prints using Classic Pearl as well as the positive feedback I've received from my clients I can easily recommend this paper for all your portrait needs. The downloadable profiles are an excellent bonus and handle color very well from my print manager. Setup is quick and painless. I can only recommend that your experiment with as many papers as you can find but please do yourself a favor and include Ilford Classic Pearl in your research. I think you will be pleased with the results.

You must try the new and improved ones
They have a sticker on the packages saying the colors are brighter and they won't crack. I tried those first and they are beautiful. I bought some more but they didn't have the sticker on them. Those must be what everyone here is reviewing. The old ones are indeed waxy with okay colors. I hope they don't peel like everyone says. But those improved ones are wonderful - brilliant colors and nice feel not waxy at all. Trust me there is a difference. I haven't washed the new improved ones yet but they do look like they are durable and will withstand the wash. Wish there was a way to tell if the package we are getting from Amazon is new or old. I think the stock number is the same.
UPDATE: It has been an entire year since I've done some thirty or so transfers using various brands. Those new and improved Avery transfers are the best. One year later through repeated washings the new and improved ones still look bright and beautiful. The others are old and faded. Look carefully on the package. If they are new and improved Avery that's the one you want.

The best paper I have used.
HP Photo paper is by far the best of all the paper I have used and not just in HP printers. My ... Epson Stylus when set to its highest resolution prints just as well as my ... HP photo printer on this paper although not nearly as fast. The paper has far more to do with the quality of the image than the printer and this is the best paper you can get.

All right by me !!!
This multipurpose 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch paper by Xerox truly works well for all kinds of uses! As you might assume I use this paper primarily for my computer's printer paper. It does indeed slip smoothly through my printer so that paper jams are very few and far between. The 84 brightness simply indicates that this is good quality paper for printing handwriting messages and more.
Of course as I just hinted above while this paper fits the bill completely for printer paper you can also use this paper for handwritten messages and even letters. It works well if you give it to your child to cut up and use for arts and crafts projects when they can't play outside. Of course adults can use this paper for their own artistic projects too.
Moreover just as the seller advertises this paper can be used by either an inkjet printer or a laser printer--it even works very well with plain paper fax machines. I love this multipurpose feature. The product description above briefly mentions that this is a "blue-white" product but I can't understand why they would risk confusing people that way. You can rest assured--this paper is completely white. SMILE
This paper is sold by the realm--and that means you'll have to comfortably life a single package of 20 pounds. If you have any concerns about lifting you may want someone else to carry this for you if you purchase two or three realms at a time in a store. I know after my complicated hernia operation earlier this year I dare not lift too much weight.
Overall this multipurpose paper will never disappoint you; you can store it for future use without worrying about it fading. As long as it remains in its original paper packaging it will remain white even if you open the package two years from now. I highly recommend this paper for anyone who wants a reliable good quality paper for office or home use.
Use it in good health!!!

Works for me!
As an academic administrator I use a lot of paper! Cartridges and paper run out all the time. Also despite being an administrator I still try to do some research or get involved with a variety of publication ventures. All these projects chew up lots of paper.
The HP multipurpose paper is priced reasonably and does the job. I use printers and a copier (and every so often I even use the Fax feature of my 4 in 1 machine) so I need paper that is multipurpose. This works well with both my printer and my copier. It sure meets my needs.
So in the end this is a good product and helps me move along from day to day in the world of academics. . . .

Washes well
These work and wear much better than Avery's iron-ons. Nice matte finish that washes well and feels like fabric (Avery's are slick and feel like plastic).

Picture (almost) perfect....
This paper does what it promises - and does it well. Nice printing quality - not a glossy - more of a traditional printing paper texture lightweight with easy to remove and adhere backing. A nice weight. I used it for photo printing to make a smooth wrinkle-free photo cover on a book and it worked very well. I bought one pack to try the product out was very pleased with both its photo and text quality. I will surely purchase again (and just for the record... I'm very picky about these things :))Upon adhering one of the photos one corner did split a bit as if the paper was of 2 layers with the photo curling up a bit from the paper attached to the surface but this may have been a fluke - and was easily remedied with a bit of photo-friendly glue.

Great for photo calendars
We used this paper to make photo calendars for Christmas gifts for everyone in our family (20 calendars). The photos looked wonderful. The 41# weight went easily through our hp laserjet and inkjet printers yet was heavy enough to stand up to printing on both sides hanging on the wall (via a hole in the paper supporting the weight of all 15 pages) and flipping through all year...

Cheap Animation Paper
Who needs expensive punched animation bond when 3-hole punched copy paper will do? For several years now we have been using this kind of paper (any brand will do) to create animation drawings. For a pegbar I use a modified wood ruler for 3-ring binders with short 5/8" dowel pieces glued into the 3 holes. The 3-hole punch paper slides over the dowels perfectly and keeps drawings registered. I always keep the holes on the top and usually draw with the aid of a Light Tracer light box. You can even store your drawings in a 3-ring binder. D-ring styles are the best choice for this purpose.

A Review of Iron-On Transfer Paper? I must be bored :-)
I've only tried a few different brands of Iron-On Transfer paper (so far Avery HP and Epson) and I can say that this one works rather well. The ability to peel the transfer paper backing off the shirt when it's cool works better than another brand of paper in which you have to peel the backing when it's still warm.
I see two drawbacks and both are minor but significant:
1) The backing of the paper is blank/white just like the front and it's almost impossible to tell which side is the one that you want to print on. One corner of the paper is cut off to tell you the orientation and Epson only has directions for their printer. Basically if your printer feeds from the bottom you orient it one way but... if your printer feeds from the top it's a different ball game. They tell you this on their website. Other brands of transfer paper have faded words on their paper to tell you which is the back.
2) Epson only provides the clear/white paper. If you try this on any dark colored shirt you will see the iron-on transfer clearly and it doesn't look good. They mention it in one sentence in the instructions.
That's my 2 cents

Great DIY shirts!
These are wonderful! You just print anything you want to transfer and then iron them on. You have your custom shirt under 10 minutes!! The only drawback is that they transfer together with the white background unlike the ones for white fabric (So remember *not* to flip your image when you print!). So you need to trim the print out carefully not leaving a border. Similarly if you want to print text you may want to print them in a backgrund box. Using it is super-easy. Just make sure you are using a 100% cotton fabric that's all.
Note: All you people with transfer problems do make sure you strip the backing off after printing and use just the transfer and the 'cover' sheet for iron on!

Hard To Find But A Great Product
Essential for any oddball projects that may require stickers. Unfortunately this item is difficult to find in stores like Office Max WalMart and Staples. I had to order it here on Amazon. A bit pricey for what you get but when you need to create your own stickers there's nothing better.

Easy Fast and Long Lasting
Well I have used this product with more than 100 t-shirt and I have no complains. After my 3 first big trials... a really mess... It is easy to transfer (once you get used with the process) it is a fast process and the image stay for a long time on the fabric. Of course the transfer will not last forever but after 100+ washing cycles all of my t-shirt still are in PERFECT condition. I use soft soap and a soft washing machine cycle. The most important words here are: VERY high temp iron (mine is one with 1400 watts) very VERY high pressure when ironing (I sweat a lot in this process) and the fabric must be as flat and firm as possible (porous fabrics are not the best as well as stretching ones like cotton-lycra are not a good option because when stretching the image breaks).
One last note: it is for white fabric. If you try it over other color the image's colors will be different from intended. If the fabic is dark colored you will not see anything after trasferring. This is because the WHITE color of the image after ironing comes from the fabric so if within the image are white and shiny teeth and the fabric is dark the teeth will be black as well as all the other light colors of the images.

Versatile and easy to use
I initially used this for "chore cards" for my children that easily got soiled bent wet etc and loved the results so much that I bought some more. It is super easy to use and makes paper items that you want to last so much more durable. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I found that sometimes it didn't cut real smoothly and I would have to go back and re-trim the edges but that may be the paper cutter I was using. Also it has a split back to make peeling the paper off easy but it is only in one place so if you are using it for smaller items it can be hard to get the backing off. Overall though I really love this product and can find all sorts of uses for it! Plus the price was great.
